ABC is launching “Seattle Grace: On Call,” an original Web companion series to the network’s long-running hit “Grey’s Anatomy.”
The new six-episode series debuts Nov. 19 at 10:00 p.m. EST on ABC.com on, immediately following the on-air broadcast of the latest “Grey’s” episode. The documentary-styled show takes place at Joe’s Emerald City Bar - -a hangout frequented by the doctors depicted on “Grey’s.”
Several “Grey’s” cast members will appear on “Seattle Grace: On Call,” including Gloria Garayua and Brandon Scott, who both play interns on the show. The Web series, which will conclude in January, will occasionally reflect plotlines from the ongoing “Grey’s” season, said officials.
“Seattle Grace: On Call” is not the first original Web series for ABC, but does mark one of the few occasions that the network has produced an online show tied to a particular primetime series. In the past ABC.com has featured the short form comedy series “Voicemail,” as well as “Squeegees” — which was produced by the now defunct digital studio Stage 9 Digital Media.
ABC has signed on the Italian food company Bertolli as the official sponsor of “Seattle Grace: On Call.”

Grey’s Anatomy is all new on November 19th and it seems like they’re going to cover all of the upcoming holidays over the course of one episode. No word yet on whether we’ll see another new episode before January 2010. Below are some promo photos and a synopsis from ABC.
IT’S THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND MIRANDA IS VISITED BY HER DISAPPROVING FATHER JUST AS MARK RECEIVES A VERY UNEXPECTED WOMAN FROM HIS PAST, ON ABC’S “GREY’S ANATOMY”

Owen has a present for Cristina. That being Teddy Atlman. Teddy is a cardio god. Or goddess. Yang is not Yang if she is easily pleased, so she wants to know things about Teddy and why she hasn’t heard of her.
At first, Teddy is just adjusting a bit from spending so much time in Iraq, but Cristina takes that to mean she doesn’t know what she’s doing at all.
Eventually, Cristina ends up liking Teddy a lot because she let her do some highly risky and difficult procedure. She’s a really good teacher, too.

Don’t judge a book by its cover.
However, her relationship with Owen is intriguing. She’s not an ex, but she has a thing for Owen, she reveals. It’s interesting to see where this goes.
Elsewhere, Adele sort of accuses Bailey of having an affair with the Chief simply because the latter didn’t go home. She’s not, but something is up with Richard.
In the end, Bailey conceded that the Chief can indeed be her work-husband. After the Chief decided to take a break from his surgical duties, Bailey takes over for him.
But what is wrong with this guy? He botched a surgery and Bailey had to redo it. Later, we find out.
Oh yeah, Izzie is back at Seattle Grace. She was living with her mom in Chehalis, and only showed up because her high school teacher and mentor, Dr. Singer, had a problem remembering … anything.
That case was great to watch - they figured out that he had fluid blocking his brain from receiving … well, something. You gotta love Derek, though, and Izzie telling the Chief to do the surgery or else.
The first time Alex saw her, it was heartbreaking, his expression saying, “What the hell, Izzie,” a combination of sad and mad.
They weren’t talking at first, and when they finally did, Izzie started blaming Karev for getting her fired, which is did not sit well with him.
Alex says she didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt, made a conclusion, and just went away. He can’t forgive her either, he says.
The Chief, finally, concedes that he’s exhausted, hands over all his surgeries to Bailey, after botching an otherwise routine surgery.
There’s a Chief montage while he’s drinking, and he really does appear under the influence. Poor guy.

With new mom Ellen Pompeo firmly entrenched back at Grey’s Anatomy, the show is moving Derek and Meredith back where they belong: front and center. That’s the good news. Here comes the bad…
“They will face some relationship challenges, many of them work-oriented, in the second half of the season,” reveals exec producer Shonda Rhimes.
The Queen of Shondaland, however, insists that this latest obstacle will not result in the newly married-via-Post-It pair breaking up — a rumor that has been making the rounds on the Internets (and stirring Der-Mer fans into a veritable frenzy). “I don’t know how many times [I] can say, ‘Derek and Meredith are together forever’ and have anybody hear it,” she sighs. “I can only reassure so much.
“In order to [produce] a drama you need to have some drama,” Rhimes adds with a laugh. “Whether or not two people are meant for one another doesn’t mean that things aren’t going to happen to challenge their relationship.”
Makes sense to me! What say you, ’shippers? Are you cool with Mer-Der encountering a few bumps en route to their inevitable happy ending? Or would you prefer that they stay boring happy? And did you hear Shonda this time re: the whole “not breaking up” thing? Sound off below!

Mer’s self-injuring Grey’s Anatomy BFF has hopped the crazy train over to Lie to Me.
Melissa George is joining the Fox drama as an Anna Nicole Smith-type who will go toe-to-toe with Tim Roth, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Her character, Clara Martin, is the sassy wife of an older billionaire who has been murdered. After being exonerated in a high-profile murder trial, she assumes control of her husband’s empire. Lightman sees himself in her — naughty, fearless, strategic, and always game for the next adventure. In other words, she’s kinda nuts.
George will recur beginning with this season’s 11th episode.

The first promotional photo released for the tenth episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” this season has revealed the possible daughter of Mark ‘McSteamy’ Sloan. Leven Rambin is guest starring in the episode “Holidaze” which synopsis specifies that Mark and Lexie “must cope with the shocking arrival of a woman from his past.”

E! Online came out with the report of Rambin’s character being the long-lost daughter of Mark, but this story is not yet confirmed. The fact is, Rambin will be featured heavily on the November 19 episode, appearing in both “Grey’s” and its spin-off “Private Practice“.
According to EW, there will be a crossover between the two shows with Addison coming to Seattle to help the surgery of Rambin’s character. As complications arise with the patient, Mark and Rambin’s character will go to Los Angeles to seek additional help from Addison.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” episode will also follow Miranda as she is visited by her father William who disapproves of her choices in life. Thatcher Grey questions the Chief’s recent behavior as Meredith comes to his defense.
Leven Rambin is relatively new in TV with her most known stint is that of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles“. In the canceled series, she played a recurring role as the girl named Riley whom John Connor met while at school.

Sure they were both inebriated, but that kiss should still account for something right? If you missed last weeks’ episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Yang (Sandra Oh) and Mercy Wester Jackson (Jesse Williams) kissed on the sidelines of Callie’s (Sara Ramirez) not-so-booming surprise party to girlfriend Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).
The context: Yang is pissed at Owen (Kevin McKidd) for not going ballistic on her for an unauthorized procedure she did earlier. Jackson, meanwhile, found the whole renegade surgeon thing hot. Could it be the start of something bigger? Williams tells TV Guide that yes, that’s very possible.
“We have similar character traits and watching her take the reins gets Jackson fired up,” he says. “He’s looking at her differently now. He’s seen a whole new side of her that’s so attractive. What also helped was that he had been boozing all night, but the attraction is real and it has been mounting. I think she kind of liked it.”
Did she or didn’t she like it? From the looks of things, maybe she kind of did, because she did kiss him back briefly, before she got to her senses and pushed him back and said, “I’m involved.” But the next episode is set to introduce Kim Raver as fellow Iraqi vet Teddy, who can come between Yang and Owen. For Williams, however, this doesn’t really affect the two’s relationship.
“Surprisingly enough, I think it doesn’t help or hurt. They’re both so strong-headed and so career-oriented that, good or bad, the work comes first.”
Will the rest of the
Grey’s Anatomy people get wind of the Cristina-Jackson kiss? Maybe, says Williams, especially since Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will return this week, and she and Yang are tight like anything. “A lot of tension is mounting right now,” he assures us, ultimately.
After his frankly annoying tantrum-throwing last episode, do you still like Owen for Cristina? Or are you wiling to give Jackson a try just to shake things up?
